A little about me

Medicine. Oncology. Care with perspective.

My journey in medicine began at Government Theni Medical College, where I completed my M.B.B.S. I later pursued postgraduate training in Radiation Oncology at Cancer Institute (WIA), Adyar, Chennai.

Today, I care for patients with different types of cancer, with particular clinical interests in breast, cervical, and head & neck cancers. I’m trained in conventional and advanced radiation techniques, including 3D-CRT, IMRT, VMAT, SRS, SRT, SBRT and HDR Brachytherapy.

Training in Pain and Palliative Care has further shaped the way I approach cancer care, with attention not only to treatment, but also to comfort, communication and quality of life.

Common Questions

Understanding Cancer & Treatment

Understanding Cancer & Treatment

Is cancer curable?

Some cancers can be cured, especially when detected early. Your outlook depends on the type, stage and response to treatment.

Is cancer contagious?

Cancer itself is not contagious and cannot be passed through everyday contact or sharing food.

Does cancer run in families?

Some cancers have an inherited risk, while many do not. Family history helps guide screening and genetic counselling.

What treatment options are available for cancer?

Treatment may include surgery, radiation therapy, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy or a combination tailored to the diagnosis.

How does cancer screening help?

Screening can find certain cancers or precancerous changes before symptoms appear, when treatment may be more effective.
